Cucumbers produced in France of varieties (cultivars) grown from Cucumis sativus L.

Order extending an inter-branch agreement concluded within the framework of the Inter-branch Association of the Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Industry (INTERFEL) and relating to the grading of cucumbers for the 2020–2022 marketing years

The draft Order extends an agreement intended to improve the quality of cucumbers produced in France.

The agreement establishes a grading scale by weight, aimed at improving quality and ensuring fair competition in transactions for cucumbers sold in Class ‘Extra’ or Class I. It limits the size differences within the same package to 10%.

The agreement does not apply to cucumbers intended for industrial processing or to cucumbers sold directly to consumers by producers at their place of business and from their production.

The provisions concerning classification apply only to ‘long’ or ‘Dutch’ type cucumbers.
