Revision of Basic Document DB-HE ‘Energy Saving’ and amendments to Basic Documents DB-HS ‘Health’ and DB-SI ‘Fire Safety’.

Draft Royal Decree amending Royal Decree 314/2006 of 17 March 2006 approving the Technical Building Code

Partial transposition of Council Directive 2013/59/EURATOM laying down basic safety standards for protection against the dangers arising from exposure to ionising radiation, and repealing Directives 89/618/Euratom, 90/641/Euratom, 96/29/Euratom, 97/43/Euratom and 2003/122/Euratom. This Directive requires that Member States establish national reference levels for radon concentrations in enclosed areas and adopt appropriate measures to limit radon penetration in buildings.

The revision of Basic Document DB-HE ‘Energy Saving’ introduces amendments to the structure of the basic requirements to adapt them to European legislation, revising the minimum energy efficiency levels applicable to buildings and updating the definition of nearly-zero energy buildings.
