Video equipment used by a security organisation that receives and evaluates the images sent by the video equipment in the exercise of its profession or of business on behalf of third parties at a central reporting point and that, if necessary, requests police assistance

Order No ... of the Minister for Justice and Security of [date] amending the Order on private security organisations and detective agencies due to the adoption of new rules on video surveillance centres that have been granted a licence and the training requirements for the persons they employ

Under the proposed amendment to the order, a security organisation that receives and evaluates the images sent by the video equipment in the exercise of its profession or of business on behalf of third parties at a central reporting point and that, if necessary, requests police assistance shall only be permitted to have the installation plan, the installation and the maintenance of the equipment it uses drawn up or performed by installers and persons providing support to installers that hold a declaration of reliability. It shall only provide services to third parties that also have these activities performed exclusively by installers that meet the aforementioned conditions. Video equipment falling under a category for which the Minister has issued rules shall only be used if it has been approved under these rules. The security organisation shall only provide services to third parties that also meet these conditions. A security organisation of this kind shall also ensure that it has documents demonstrating that equipment used by it or third parties meets the relevant requirements. The requirements involve a suitable certificate issued by a certifying body accredited by a recognised body as referred to in Article 14 of Regulation (EC) No 765/2008 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 9 July 2008 setting out the requirements for accreditation and market surveillance relating to the marketing of products and repealing Regulation (EEC) No 339/93. The scheme shall be issued according to Article 20(2) of the Order.
