Executive Order on remotely-read electricity meters and metering the electricity consumption of end consumers

In its present form, this Executive Order already requires network entities to install and commission intelligent/remotely-read electricity meters for all end consumers of electricity in Denmark before 31 December 2020.

The change requires the network entities to install summation meters at a private producer when the network entities are nevertheless replacing the private producer’s existing electricity meter.

The Executive Order also determines that the private producers who have, in connection with the roll-out of remotely-read electricity meters, received a different type of remotely-read meter, a so-called phase meter, and who wish this meter to be replaced with a summation meter will be entitled to this by paying for it themselves.
