The basis for assessment applies to plastics and other organic materials used for the construction or maintenance of installations for the production, processing or distribution of drinking water. The basis for assessment specifies the general sanitary requirements for organic materials. The basis for assessment contains definitive positive lists of base materials used for the production of plastics, organic coatings and lubricants in contact with drinking water.
