- Low voltage and extra low voltage electrical installations which produce, transform, transmit, distribute or use electricity, provided that the nominal frequency of the current does not exceed 10 000 Hz;

- Communication cables and information, signalling or control technology cables (with the exception of the internal circuits of appliances) in the case of fire prevention measures that are integrated into the low voltage and extra low voltage electrical installations.

Annex 1 to the draft Royal Decree making compulsory Book 1 on low voltage and extra low voltage electrical installations, Book 2 on high voltage electrical installations and Book 3 on electricity transmission and distribution installations.

Technical rules for installation which are applicable to new and existing low voltage and extra low voltage electrical installations (alternating current = < 1 000 V and smooth and non-smooth direct current = < 1 500 V)
