Decree on the information requirements relating to consumers’ online opinions

This decree determines the content and application procedures of the information provided for in Article L111-7-2 of the Consumer Code, which requires any natural or legal person whose activity primarily or secondarily consists in collecting, moderating or disseminating online opinions provided by consumers to provide trustworthy, clear and transparent information regarding the procedures for publishing and processing the online opinions.

This decree:

- defines the notion of online opinions;

- specifies the information that must be provided close to the opinion;

- lists the information relating to the operating procedures of the online opinion service and to the opinion monitoring procedures, which must be provided under a specific heading;

- specifies the procedures whereby the consumer is informed of any refusal to publish their opinion.
