Energy Conservation Program: Test Procedures for Residential and Commercial Clothes Washers

The U.S. Department of Energy ("DOE") is reopening the public comment period for its Request for Information ("RFI") regarding test procedures for residential and commercial clothes washers. DOE published the RFI in the Federal Register on 22 May 2020, establishing a 30-day public comment period that ended 22 June 2020. On 10 June 2020, DOE received a comment requesting extension of the comment period by 30 days (and no less than two weeks). In addition, on 11 June 2020, DOE received a comment requesting extension of the comment period by 60 days. DOE is reopening the public comment period for submitting comments and data on the RFI to 6 July 2020.

DATES: The comment period for the RFI published on 22 May 2020 (85 FR 31065), is reopened. DOE will accept comments, data, and information regarding this RFI received no later than 6 July 2020.

The docket folder for this RFI is available on Regulations.gov at https://www.regulations.gov/do..., and provides access to primary and supporting documents as well as comments received. Documents are also accessible from Regulations.gov by searching the docket number. WTO Members and their stakeholders are asked to submit comments to the USA TBT Enquiry Point. Comments received by the USA TBT Enquiry Point from WTO Members and their stakeholders will be shared with the regulator, and will also be submitted to the Docket on Regulations.gov if received within the comment period.
