ACTION: Advanced notice of proposed rulemaking (ANPRM); extension of comment period
SUMMARY: In response to a request from Venable LLC, NHTSA is announcing a 60-day extension of the comment period on an advance notice of proposed rulemaking (ANPRM) requesting comment on NHTSA's development of a framework for Automated Driving System (ADS) safety. The comment period for the ANPRM was originally scheduled to end on 1 February 2021. It will now end on 1 April 2021.
DATES: The comment period for the "Framework for Automated Driving System Safety" ANPRM, published on 3 December 2020, at 85 FR 78058, is extended to 1 April 2021. This advance notice of proposed rulemaking; extension of comment period is identified by Docket Number NHTSA-2020-0106. The Docket Folder is available on Regulations.gov at https://www.regulations.gov/docket?D=NHTSA-2020-0106 and provides access to primary documents as well as comments received. Documents are also accessible from Regulations.gov by searching the Docket Number. WTO Members and their stakeholders are asked to submit comments to the USA TBT Enquiry Point. Comments received by the USA TBT Enquiry Point from WTO Members and their stakeholders will be shared with the regulator and will also be submitted to the Docket on Regulations.gov if received within the comment period.
