Draft Order of the Ministry of Economy and Environment of Ukraine "On Amendments to the Order of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine No. 262 of 11 June 2018" (concerning the Procedure for Conducting State Control of Establishments in Exporting Countries and the State Register of Countries and Establishments Eligible to Export Products to Ukraine). The draft Order has been developed to amend the Order No. 262 of 11 June 2018 approving the Procedure for Conducting State Control of Establishments Located in Exporting Countries from Which the Import (Shipment) of Products into the Customs Territory of Ukraine Is Permitted and the Procedure for Maintaining the State Register of Countries and Establishments from Which the Import (Shipment) of Products into the Customs Territory of Ukraine Is Permitted.

Following the entry into force on 1 March 2026 of the Law of Ukraine "On Veterinary Medicine and Animal Welfare", which amended the Law of Ukraine "On State Control over Compliance with Legislation on Foodstuffs, Feed, Animal By-products, Animal Health and Animal Welfare", it became necessary to align Order No. 262 with the updated legislation.

The draft Order provides for:

·        amending paragraph 1 of the Procedure for Conducting State Control of Establishments Located in Exporting Countries from which the Import (Shipment) of Products into the Customs Territory of Ukraine is Permitted, approved by Order No. 262, by supplementing it with the following paragraph:

"This Procedure shall not apply to the state control of establishments engaged in the production, processing and storage of reproductive material.";

·        approving the Procedure for Conducting State Control of Establishments Located in Exporting Countries from which the Import (Shipment) of Live Animals and Reproductive Material into the Customs Territory of Ukraine is Permitted;$

·        replacing the Procedure for Maintaining the State Register of Countries and Establishments from which the Import (Shipment) of Products into the Customs Territory of Ukraine is Permitted, approved by Order No. 262, with a new version.
