Proposal for Amendment to Legal Inspection Requirements for Static Converters, Power Supplies an Other Products (5 page(s), in English; 5 page(s), in Chinese)
The Bureau of Standards, Metrology and Inspection (BSMI) proposes to make the following major revisions to streamline the inspection requirements:
1. To revise the inspection scope for static converters and power supplies by removing those designed for HI-END audio. In addition, instead of requiring compliance with both CNS 14336-1 and CNS 14408 in terms of their safety, compliance with either one will be sufficient; and
2. To adjust the modules applicable to audio-video products under the Registration of Product Certification Scheme.
