The National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission has proposed the Draft Notification of the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission regarding Rules and Regulatory Guidelines for Radiation Exposure Safety Standard for Radiocommunication Equipment. The Rules and Regulatory Guidelines revise the statutory authority of the notification to align with the Act on Organization to Assign Radio Frequency and to Regulate the Broadcasting and Telecommunications Services B.E. 2553 (2010), and updates the definitions in accordance with the ICNIRP 2010 and ICNIRP 2020 guidelines. The operating scope has been expanded from 9 kHz–300 GHz to 8.3 kHz–300 GHz to comply with the Thailand National Frequency Allocation Table (2024), updating the list of radiocommunication equipment types, abolishing the submission of the Declaration of Conformity (DoC), and revising the compliance labeling formats for electromagnetic radiation levels, among other updates.
