The National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission has proposed the Draft Notification of the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission regarding Technical Standards for Radiation Exposure Safety Standard for Radiocommunication Equipment.

The technical standard revises the statutory authority of the standard notification to align with the Act on Organization to Assign Radio Frequency and to Regulate the Broadcasting and Telecommunications Services B.E. 2553 (2010), and updates the definitions in accordance with the ICNIRP 2010 and ICNIRP 2020 guidelines. The revision includes expanding the operating scope from 9 kHz–300 GHz to 8.3 kHz–300 GHz to comply with the Thailand National Frequency Allocation Table (2024) and updating the electromagnetic field (EMF) exposure limits for all radiocommunication equipment, including simultaneous exposure from multiple sources to comply with ICNIRP 2010 for the 8.3 kHz–100 kHz and ICNIRP 2020 for the 100 kHz–300 GHz.
