The notified Salvadoran Technical Regulation establishes the permissible air immission limits for the main air pollutants, with a view to protecting the health of the population, the atmosphere and ecosystems.

It applies to the monitoring of air immission concentrations throughout national territory.

Indoor air quality, air emissions from stationary sources, and air emissions from mobile sources are not covered by the provisions of this Technical Regulation.
