The purpose of the notified draft Regulation is to establish provisions governing the management of the quality of water for human consumption and to regulate quality requirements, authorizations, the health registration of disinfectants and other inputs used in the treatment of water for human consumption at the community level, and the approval of technical instruments related to drinking water supply systems, along with the health monitoring and oversight of the quality of water for human consumption, in accordance with General Health Law No. 26842.
