The notified regulation seeks to implement the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals and (GHS), seventh revised edition, known as the United Nations Purple Book, for chemical hazard classification and communication, unless the Competent Authority expressly provides otherwise and provisions are established for that purpose.
