The notified draft Mexican Official Standard is applicable throughout national territory and is binding on large generators of hazardous and special management waste from activities in the hydrocarbon sector, which are referred to in Section XI of Article 3 of the Law on the National Agency for Industrial Safety and Environmental Protection in the Hydrocarbon Sector.
