The amendments aim to ban mail-order brokerage from facilitating the direct purchase of foreign foods containing raw materials or substances prohibited from entering Korea, and to allow the Minister of Food and Drug Safety to take necessary measures including the ban on mail-order brokerage when it is acknowledged that directly purchased foreign foods are found to cause, or are likely to cause, harm to the life or health of consumers.
