Genetically Modified Foods

Draft amendment of "Labelling Standards for Genetically Modified Foods" (10 page(s), in Korean)

Republic of Korea is proposing to amend the "Labelling Standards for Genetically Modified Foods (Advance Notice No. 2019-346 of the MFDS)".

-        The legal basis relating to the labelling of livestock products is revised in Article 1 and Article 2, respectively.

-        The definitions of 'livestock products' and 'processing aid' are specified in Article 2. 

-        The provision regarding labelling of Non-GMO is deleted in Article 5 as the new regulation is establishing.
