Import permit of genetically modified potato is scheduled to be granted for human consumption for the first time, following safety examination under Art. 18 of Food Sanitation Act. Anyone who import Potato and/or foods containing potato as ingredients into Korea is expected to check whether labelling of the products is covered under the Standard for Labelling of Genetically Modified Foods, etc (MFDS Regulation No 2017-7, which was notified as G/TBT/N/KOR/621, 622 & 641)
