The proposed amendment is to:

- Clarify requirements of foods, etc. that can be labelled or advertised as functional.

- Apply the revisions made to the Standards and Specifications for Health Functional Food or Labelling Standards for Foods, etc. — regarding the function of an ingredient, recommended daily intake, or reference intake per eating occasion — first, although no revision to the Regulation on Health Claims on Food Labelling and in Advertising has been made yet.

- Change the recommended daily intake of Nondigestible Maltodextrin
