The revision process of the Mandatory Standard SI 60745 part 1, dealing with Hand-held motor-operated electric tools, to be replaced with SI 62841 part 1, was completed and published in Israel's Official Gazette, Section of Government Notice on 17 February 2019. A transition period was set and extended for these standards until 15 December 2024.

The Commissioner of Standardization is promoting an additional extension until 15 December 2027. During this time, products that require complying with the Mandatory Standard SI 60745 part 1 or any other Mandatory part of this series, may be imported into Israel according to either SI 60745 part 1 or SI 62841 part 1.
