First amendment to the Mandatory Standard SI 682 part 1 dealing with the safety requirements of children's cots and folding cots. This amendment changes the following:

·         Changes the normative references;

·         Adds a new national sub-section 4.2.4 dealing with phthalate content.

Both the old standard and the new amended standard will apply from the date of entry into force of this new amendment for a period of 3 months. During this time, products may be tested according to the old or the newly amended standard.

All sections of this draft amendment will become mandatory after the entry into force of the new revision.
