First amendment to the Mandatory Standard SI 448 part 1 dealing with fire valve. This amendment changes the following:

·         Adds a new reference to paragraph 1.2;

·         Deletes footnote (7) from paragraph 2.4 dealing with the materials;

·         Deletes footnote (8) from paragraph 2.5.1 dealing with flanges and require that the fire hydrant flanges shall comply with Israel Standard SI 60 part 2. 

This new draft amendment will enter into force 2 years after publication in Israel Official Gazette. During this time both the old standard and the standard together with the amendment will apply. This will allow the use of flanges complying with the Australian Standard AS 2129, to be used during the 2 years transitional period.
