The Transition Facilitation (Quality Control) Order, 2026 enables applicant to procure supplies from manufacturers holding licenses under Scheme II of Schedule II (which is based on self-certification basis) of the Bureau of Indian Standards (Conformity Assessment) Regulations, 2018, instead of Scheme I (ISI Mark Scheme) of BIS (where physical inspection by BIS is mandatory).
