The notified draft decree, issued pursuant to Article 21 of Law No. 2016-41 of 26 January 2016 on the modernization of the French health system, contains a number of provisions pertaining to improved information for users of establishments offering artificial tanning services to the public, enhanced inspection procedures for tanning devices in these commercial establishments, penalties (fines) in the event of non-compliance, and a ban on the sale or transfer of tanning devices (types UV1 and UV3) for non-professional use.
