The proposed draft Regulation intends to lower all maximum residue levels (MRLs) for eight active substances which are no longer approved in the European Union: azocyclotin, chlorfenapyr, cyhexatin, dicofol, endosulfan, fenarimol, fenpropathrin and profenofos.

Some MRLs are currently higher than the Limit of Quantification (LOQ). Codex maximum residue limits (CXLs) and import tolerance exist for some of them.

For all active substances, EFSA has concluded that the TRVs cannot be confirmed since the data available were insufficient to meet the most recent data requirements. A stakeholder consultation was launched by EFSA allowing stakeholders to submit supporting information to confirm the TRVs. No relevant information was submitted. Therefore, as no TRVs could be set and consumer risk assessments could not be carried out, this draft Regulation proposes to lower to the LOQ all the MRLs for the eight non-approved active substances.
