Draft Commission Implementing Regulation amending Implementing Regulation (EU) 2019/2072 as regards measures to prevent the entry into the Union territory, and the spread within it, of Resseliella citrifrugis, Chrysobothris femorata, Chrysobothris mali, Citripestis sagittiferella and Begomoviruses as regards the name of Dendroctonus micans (Kugelann), and amending Implementing Regulation (EU) 2022/1941 as regards Resseliella citrifrugis. Implementing Regulation 2019/2072 contains the list of Union quarantine pests, protected zone quarantine pests, and regulated non-quarantine pests (RNQPs). Furthermore, it lays down phytosanitary requirements for import and internal movement of plants, plant products and other objects that may pose a phytosanitary risk to the European Union.
This draft amendment of Implementing Regulation 2019/2072:
· Adds new species to the list of Union quarantine pests (Resseliella citrifrugis, Chrysobothris femorata sensu lato, Chrysobothris mali, Citripestis sagittiferella);
· Removes the Begomoviruses "honeysuckle yellow vein virus" ('HYVV00') and "cotton leaf curl Gezira virus" ("CLCUGV") from the list of Union quarantine pests;
· Corrects the scientific names of Dendroctonus micans (Kugelann) and of Crataegus;
· Adds and updates requirements for import and internal movement for the species mentioned above, including addition/revision of the respective CN codes.
