Annex II, Part II, component material category 10 of Regulation (EU) 2019/1009 lists the derived products from animal by-products that may be used in EU fertilising products. The notified act intends to include additional derived products in component material category 10, for which an end point in the manufacturing chain was determined in Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2023/1605. A technical assessment concluded that those derived products are safe and agronomically efficient when used in EU fertilising products, provided that the requirements set out in the notified act are met. Annex III, Part I, is also amended to set out specific labelling requirements for EU fertilising products containing certain derived products
