The notified Ecuadorian Technical Regulation applies to the following products, whether domestic or imported, marketed in Ecuador:
Electric storage water heaters for household use.
The notified Ecuadorian Technical Regulation does not apply to:
· Instantaneous water heaters;
· Immersion water heaters;
· Heaters intended exclusively for industrial purposes;
· Water heaters that use other energy sources (e.g. solar energy);
· Water heaters with more than one heated volume;
· Water heaters without thermal insulation;
· Water heaters with heat pumps.
