The notified Ecuadorian Technical Regulation establishes the requirements to be met by cocks and valves for domestic use, prior to the marketing of domestic and imported products, with the aim of protecting human safety and preventing deceptive practices.

It applies to the following products:

·         Cocks and valves for domestic use, used as exit valves, shut-off valves and mixing valves;

·         Similar cocks made with metal and/or plastic components;

·         Shower-baths; 

·         Spherical valves.
