The notified Ecuadorian Technical Regulation applies to the following products, whether domestic or imported, marketed in Ecuador: High-pressure sodium vapour luminaires and components thereof (high-pressure sodium vapour lamps, ballasts, starting devices (ignitors), capacitors, photocontrols, photocontrol bases, and relay switches).

LED luminaires and floodlights and components thereof (LED controllers, surge protection devices (SPDs), LED modules, short-circuit caps, photocontrols, and photocontrol bases). The notified Ecuadorian Technical Regulation does not apply to: Integrated solar luminaires for road and street lighting and components thereof; and floodlights that simultaneously meet the following requirements: rated output < 200 W, IP < 66, IK < 0.9, CRI < 80.
