The notified Ecuadorian Technical Regulation applies to the following products, whether domestic or imported, marketed in Ecuador:

·        Safety footwear;

·        Protective footwear;

·        Occupational footwear.

The notified Ecuadorian Technical Regulation does not apply to:

·        Footwear for firefighters;

·        Electrical insulating footwear;

·        Footwear protecting against chain saw injuries;

·       Footwear protecting against chemicals and molten metal splash; and Protective footwear for motorcycle riders.
