Resolución No. 001414 del 26 de mayo de 2006 del Instituto Colombiano Agropecuario "Por la cual se establece el registro ante el ICA, de productores de camarón y de peces para consumo humano con destino a la exportación" (Colombian Agricultural Institute (ICA) Resolution No. 001414 of 26 May 2006 establishing the ICA register of producers of shrimp and fish for human consumption for export)

The notified Resolution established the ICA register of producers of shrimp and fish for human consumption for export. In view of the dynamism of the sector producing aquatic animals for breeding or human consumption for export, it is necessary to update Resolution ICA No. 1414 of 2006 to harmonize the requirements and procedures for the registration of these establishments with the standards in force, in order to guarantee the sanitary quality of the animals and their products intended for niche markets.

A draft Resolution establishing the requirements for the registration with the ICA of establishments producing aquatic animals for breeding or human consumption for export, is thus proposed. The provisions laid down in the draft Resolution shall apply to all natural or legal persons engaged in the production of aquatic animals for breeding or human consumption for export. Producers of shrimp and fish for human consumption for export currently registered under Resolution ICA No 1414 of 2006 shall have a period of two years from the date of entry into force of the draft Resolution.
