This document specifies the energy efficiency ratings, energy efficiency limits values, as well as test and calculation methods for positive-displacement and centrifugal air compressors.

This document applies to:

a)general-purpose oil-injected rotary air compressors with motor powers ranging from 1.5 kW to 630 kW and discharge pressures from 0.25 MPa to 1.25 MPa (including general-purpose oil-injected screw air compressors, single-screw air compressors, vane air compressors, and scroll air compressors);

b)general-purpose variable-speed oil-injected rotary air compressors with motor powers from 2.2 kW to 630 kW and discharge pressures from 0.25 MPa to 1.25 MPa;

c) general-purpose reciprocating piston air compressors with motor powers from 0.75 kW to 75 kW and discharge pressures from 0.25 MPa to 1.4 MPa (including miniature reciprocating piston air compressors and fixed reciprocating piston air compressors);

d) fully oil-free lubricated reciprocating piston air compressors with motor powers from 0.55 kW to 22 kW and discharge pressures from 0.4 MPa to 1.4 MPa;

e) direct-connected portable reciprocating piston air compressors;

f) general-purpose dry screw air compressors with motor powers from 15 kW to 750 kW and discharge pressures from 0.1 MPa to 1.25 MPa;

g) general-purpose variable-speed dry screw air compressors with motor powers from 15 kW to 750 kW and discharge pressures from 0.1 MPa to 1.25 MPa;

h) oil-free scroll air compressors with motor powers from 1.1 kW to 15 kW and discharge pressures from 0.25 MPa to 1.25 MPa;

i) general-purpose water-jet rotary air compressors (including single-screw and double-screw models) with drive motor powers ranging from 7.5 kW to 400 kW and discharge pressures from 0.4 MPa to 1.0 MPa;

j) general-purpose centrifugal air compressors with drive motor powers from 110 kW to 3000 kW and discharge pressures from 0.25 MPa to 1.25 MPa (including gear-driven, magnetically suspended, and air-suspended types);

k) integrated compressed air systems featuring drive motors with rated powers of 1.5 kW to 355 kW and supply pressures ranging from 0.3 MPa to 1.6 MPa.
