This standard specifies the basic safety requirements for all kinds of hand-held, movable and fixed electric equipments for indoor and outdoor use with rated AC voltage less than 1000V (1140V) and rated DC voltage less than 1500V.
This standard applies to products or components and explosion-proof electrical equipment within the application scope of electric energy converted by chemical energy, light energy and wind energy.
This standard does not apply to:（1）Materials and auxiliary materials, except as provided for in this standard; (2) Semi-manufactured products or primary products that could not be used independently; (3) Electric equipments for the purpose of medical treatment;(4)Elevator;(5)Generator of electric fence; (6)Particular equipments used on ship, aircraft and railway.
