The provisions of this Technical Instruction apply to the design, operation, inspection and maintenance of photovoltaic electrical installations connected to the distribution network, with a maximum power not exceeding that specified in Law No. 21.118 or the provisions replacing it, and are intended to lay down the requirements to be fulfilled in the design, operation, inspection and maintenance of photovoltaic electrical installations notified to the Electricity and Fuel Board for connection to the distribution network, with the aims of providing an efficient service, ensuring the safety of persons who operate or use such installations and preserving the physical and operational integrity of the electricity distribution network.
