Fija exigencias para la internación de harina de vísceras, harina de carne y hueso, harina de plumas y aceites o sebos de aves, cerdos y equinos; y deroga las Resoluciones N° 3832/2002 y 1748/2017 (Text establishing import requirements for viscera meal, meat and bone meal, feather meal and oils and fats of poultry, swine and horses, and repealing Resolutions Nos. 3832/2002 and 1748/2017)

The notified text establishes sanitary requirements for the importation into Chile of viscera meal, meat and bone meal, feather meal and oils and fats of poultry, swine and horses, whether pure or blended, in view of the following:

• ingredients intended for animal feed may contain chemical, physical or biological contaminants that affect human and animal health;
• the need to update existing regulations to reflect scientific progress and knowledge of production standards for this type of product, in respect of new treatment temperatures, distribution channels and the diagnostic analyses to which such products must be subject in order to prevent the introduction of disease.
