Under these measures, traditional pets shall be understood to mean dogs (Canis lupus familiaris), cats (Felis silvestris catus) and ferrets (Mustela putorius furo). The notified text establishes health requirements relating to the animal's general condition, rabies vaccines, antiparasitic treatment for internal and external parasites, sanitary certification, transport and shipment conditions, and the arrival of the animals in Chile.
