The notified text establishes phytosanitary requirements governing the importation into Chile of fresh blueberries (Vaccinium corimbosum, Vaccinium ashei and hybrids thereof) for consumption, produced in the states of California, Oregon and Washington, United States of America.

Consignments must be covered by an official phytosanitary certificate issued by the country of origin, which contains the following additional declarations:

For declarations on Epiphyas postvittana, there are two options depending on whether the area in question is free of this pest or not:

Areas free of the pest:

"The consignment was produced in the county(ies) of..., in the state(s) of..., where Epiphyas postvittana (Lep.: Tortricidae) has not been detected".

Areas where the pest is present:

"The consignment was produced in the county(ies) of..., in the state(s) of..., where Epiphyas postvittana (Lep.: Tortricidae) has been detected, and is free of all stages of Epiphyas postvittana (Lep. Tortricidae), in accordance with the risk management programme agreed between SAG and USDA/APHIS".
