Ornamental plants for planting (Dracaena spp; Cotoneaster spp; Nandina domestica)

The notified text amends Resolution No. 7.214 of 2014 as follows:

-         Point 4.3 of the Resuelvo section has been replaced by the following: "4.3. Packaging must be new (repackaging is not permitted), closed, resistant to handling, and labelled or marked in accordance with the Agriculture and Livestock Service (SAG) regulations currently in force. The code of the production and packaging site must be included on the label".

-         The following point has been added to the Resuelvo section: "4.4. Consignments must come from listed production sites and packaging facilities that are registered with a unique code assigned by the official plant health authority of the country of origin".

-         The following paragraph in point 5 of the Resuelvo section: "Consignments must be covered by an official phytosanitary certificate issued by the plant health authority of the country of origin concerned, which contains the following specific additional declarations for each of the species and types of material listed below:" has been replaced by: "Consignments must be covered by an official phytosanitary certificate issued by the plant health authority of the country of origin concerned, which contains the following additional declarations:

·         The material comes from an official production programme (indicate type of programme) or from germplasm nurseries or repositories controlled by the (provide name of official plant health authority of country of origin).

·         The unique code of the production and packaging site must be included on the phytosanitary certificate.

·         The phytosanitary certificate must also contain the following specific additional declarations for each of the following species and types of material:".

-         In point 5 of the Resuelvo section, the following quarantine pest has been removed from the "Additional Declarations" for Dracaena spp.: "Selenothrips rubrocinctus (Thys.: Thrypidae)".

-         In point 5 of the Resuelvo section, the following wording has been removed from the "Additional Declarations" for Cotoneaster spp.: "and Apple stem grooving virus (=Citrus tatter leaf virus)".

-         In point 5 of the Resuelvo section, the following paragraph has been removed from the "Additional Declarations" for Nandina domestica: "The plants derive from mother plants that were inspected and tested (specify diagnostic method) at the optimal time for detecting pests and found to be free from Apple stem grooving virus (=Citrus tatter leaf virus)".

-         Point 3 of the Resuelvo section has been removed.
