The notified Standard establishes the test methods for determining the behaviour and impact resistance of wall, roof and floor segments commonly used in construction. The tests described in the Standard seek to recreate conditions that are representative of those occurring in structures in which the segments are used, when an impact is received. Wall segments must be tested in a vertical position, while segments used to construct floors and roofs must be tested only in a horizontal position.
