Pesticide clethodim in or on various commodities (ICS Codes: 65.020, 65.100, 67.040, 67.060, 67.080)

Proposed Maximum Residue Limit: Clethodim (PMRL2018-50)

The objective of the notified document PMRL2018-50 is to consult on the listed maximum residue limits (MRLs) for clethodim that have been proposed by Health Canada's Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA).

MRL (ppm)¹ Raw Agricultural Commodity (RAC) and/or Processed Commodity

3.5²                 Edible-podded legume vegetables (crop subgroup 6A), succulent shelled pea and bean (crop subgroup 6B)

0.5              Shallot bulbs

² In addition, it is proposed that the established MRL of 0.5 ppm for "beans" be replaced with an MRL of 0.5 ppm for each of the dry bean commodities in crop subgroup 6C in order to reflect current terminology.  MRLs are proposed for each commodity included in the listed crop groupings in accordance with the Residue Chemistry Crop Groups webpage (https://www.canada.ca/en/health-canada/services/consumer-product-safety/pesticides-pest-management/public/protecting-your-health-environment/pesticides-food/residue-chemistry-crop-groups.html) in the Pesticides and Pest Management section of Health Canada's website.
