Building regulation - changes to articles regarding concrete

The amendments are intended to increase competition and carbon limitation opportunities in concrete production by increasing the number of possible additives in concrete. More methods for testing concrete are also permitted than before. The requirements that the regulation refers to for concrete are based on Icelandic conditions. Testing and testing requirements are in accordance with EU standards. The regulation only refers to one Icelandic standard which is ÍST 76, that a compliance standard. Only one Icelandic standard is referred to, which is ÍST 76, which is a compliance standard with ÍST EN 12620, ÍST EN 13043 and ÍST EN 13242. ÍST 76 is currently under review by Icelandic Standards by the Icelandic Mirror Committee. Other standards referred to in the regulation are European standards that have been confirmed as Icelandic standards (abbr. ÍST EN).
