On amendment of Order No D1-156 of the Minister for the Environment of the Republic of Lithuania of 31 March 2004

The Draft Order amends the existing Order No D1-156 of the Minister for the Environment of the Republic of Lithuania of 31 March 2004 on the Approval of Technical Construction Regulation STR 2.02.04:2004 “Water Abstraction and Water Treatment. Basic Provisions”, detailing the cases where products in contact with drinking water intended for the installation of water abstraction and water treatment facilities are considered to have been assessed as complying with national requirements and to have supporting documents to that effect, thus benefiting from the transitional period provided for in Article 11 of Delegated Regulation (EU) 2024/370.

Moreover, it repeals the provision of the existing Order that is no longer relevant, namely the provision stipulating that the water abstraction and water treatment facilities and surfaces that come into direct contact with raw water or water that is already of drinking quality must be certified in Lithuania and hold a hygiene certificate for non-food products. This provision is no longer relevant because such certificates are no longer issued in Lithuania
