Electronic Certificate for Game and Gaming Account Transactions under the Gambling Act

The proposal would lay down provisions, pursuant to the Gambling Act (10/2026), on the electronic certificate to be used to ensure the integrity of game and gaming account transaction data. Under the Gambling Act, a licence holder would be required to use an electronic certificate designated by the authority for the game and gaming account transaction data generated by its gaming systems. The electronic certificate would consist of an electronic signature service provided by the authority.

The proposed regulation contains two annexes supplementing its provisions. Annex 1 contains a detailed description of the interface of the authority's service and its operation. The purpose of the annex is to describe the technical requirements of the authority's service to licence holders when implementing the service. Annex 2 to the regulation contains instructions for the use of the electronic signature service, providing a more detailed description of how the service is to be used.
The proposed Regulation would enter into force on 1 July 2027
