Technical rules for connecting customer facilities to the medium-voltage network and their operation.

Subscribers shall ensure that all electrical facilities operated via the respective grid connection comply with the obligations arising from this application guide at the connection point. The respective subscriber must also ensure the proper operation and technical condition of its electrical facilities in accordance with the relevant regulations, standards and guidelines. The subscriber may commission third parties to operate the facilities.

VDE-AR-N 4110 ‘Technical rules for connecting customer facilities to the medium-voltage network and their operation (TAR Mittelspannung – TCR Medium Voltage)’

Constituting the technical connection rules (TCR), VDE-AR-N 4110 (TCR Medium Voltage) applies to the planning, installation, operation and modification of customer facilities (usage and generation plants, storage systems and mixed systems) which are connected at the connection point to the medium-voltage network of a general supply network provider. For the purpose of this VDE application guide, the three-phase network with a mains frequency of 50 Hz and mains voltages > 1 kV up to < 60 kV is regarded as the medium-voltage network.

The only content changed by this notified revision of the TCR Medium Voltage – compared to the version of 2018-11 – is the redesigned individual verification procedure for generation plants in the power range 135 kW to 950 kW.
