Biodegradable waste, digestion residue, sewage sludge.

Amendments to the Regulations of the Minister for the Environment with regard to updating the end-of-waste criteria for biodegradable waste

The following Regulations are amended:

• Regulation No 7 of the Minister for the Environment of 8 April 2013 “Requirements for the production of compost from biodegradable waste”;
• Regulation No 12 of the Minister for the Environment of 10 May 2016 “Requirements for digestion residues from biogas production from biodegradable waste”;
• Regulation No 24 of the Minister of the Environment of 19 July 2017 “Requirements for the manufacture of a product from wastewater sediments”.
The main changes will be made to the Annexes to the Regulations and concern the specification of the types of waste suitable for the production of the product, as well as the safety and quality characteristics of the products.
The most extensive amendment will be made to Regulation No 7 by creating a new class of quality indicators for compost.
