Draft Decree amending Decree No 88/2017 implementing certain provisions of the Act on viticulture and wine production

Draft Decree amending Decree No 88/2017 implementing certain provisions of the Act on viticulture and wine production is implementing legislation for Act No 321/2004 on viticulture and wine production and on amendments to certain related acts (the Act on viticulture and wine production), as amended.
The objectives of the present draft Decree aims are, in particular:

• clarification of definitions of traditional terms, e.g. ‘panenská sklizeň’ [virgin harvest], ‘růžák’ or ‘mladé víno’ [young wine] and the inclusion of new traditional terms such as: ‘labín’, ‘grand rezerva’ [grand reserve] or ‘botrytický sběr' [botrytic harvest] in the field of product labelling;
• adjustment of some permissible technical loss values;
• modification of the Decree on the basis of the requirements laid down by the European Union legislation, e.g.
— deletion of the conditions for the production and labelling of aromatised wine products,
— the introduction of an obligation to keep records for sparkling wines,
— adjustments of the requirements for registers;
• updating references to European Union legislation.
The draft legislation references European legislation:
Regulation (EU) No 1308/2013 of the European Parliament and of the Council, as amended;
Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2018/273, as amended;
Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2019/33, as amended;
Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2019/934, as amended;
Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2018/274, as amended;
Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2019/34.
