The draft modifies the existing Regulation on the technical conditions to be met by emergency refuge sidings for defective railway wagons carrying dangerous goods as regards the technical requirements for tracks and for the stabling sites located on them.

The amended technical requirements increase the level of human and environmental safety associated with the standstill and possible maintenance of a defective railway wagon carrying dangerous goods.
The draft eliminates the technical and legal regulations contained in the existing amended regulation that are no longer applicable.
